Please come and help me kick off the festive season at the Medical Authors’ Blog, Love Is The Best Medcine.

The courier delivered copy edits on Wednesday for the book I turned in late September. ‘The Doctors’ Miracle Babies’ has become Miracle: Twin Babies and I am reading it, checking for spelling, grammar and punctuation. It’s a tricky thing to do well as you start to go cross-eyed after a while. People have different strategies such as reading the page backwards. I tend to read it out-loud which can either make you sound crazy or a Narcissist so I do it when no one is at home:-) To give you an idea of how long the lead time is on a book, I am doing the copy edits now and the Hardback edition of the book will be in my hand in May 2009. I guess I better get back to them…..
I love getting the surprise of a box of books arriving on the doorstep. Today I got the hardback edition of my 9th book, THE DOCTOR CLAIMS HIS BRIDE. I also got my 4th Italian book which is the translation of my second novel, THe Nurse’s Longed-For Family.
Enjoy the covers!

Today I’m blogging at The Pink Hearts Society so please call by!
It’s been a huge week so sorry I am a bit late with posting this photo. Last weekend I had a lovely breakfast with South Australian Medical Romance Authors, Emily Forbes (two women on the right) and Lucy Clark (the couple to my right). It was such a glorious setting to be able to sit chat and gaze out at a lovely beach. DS2 had the best time with the other kids and two hours raced past. We talked about all sorts of things as well as writing and I can tell you there are some GREAT story ideas being written right now. I can’t wait for them to come out. And in time I might just forgive one of the Emily Forbes for wearing her ‘Hawks’ footy jumper! The Hawks beat the Cats in this year’s Grand Final and it was a sad day indeed;-)
