I’m having the best time. I’m writing the black moment. What is it about plunging the hero and heroine into their darkest moment that makes it so much fun? Is it because I get to join up all the dots from the themes I’ve woven into the story so far? Is it because they finally have to face their real fears? Or is it because they get to hurl home truths that will actually (in the resolution chapter) be listened to and acted on? (ain’t fiction grand…if only it would work in real life!)
All I know is that the slogging effort of the first six chapters falls away here IF I have set it up right in those previous chapters. All the ducks line up and BAMN, the H&H are up to their necks in angst.
Just love it!
Now, onto the resolution….
