At the Rodeo

Books take us to places we never expected to go and my current wip, The Reluctant Groom is very much a book of the land. It seemed reasonable then that my H&H would end up at the Rodeo.

I have learned all sorts of things about bull riding, steer wrestling and ‘camp drafting.’ This is when a stockman ‘cuts’ a beast from the mob and drives him into a yard. It is man and horse working as one, and amazing to watch.

Plus I’ve had heaps of fun dressing my heroine in some great western gear…you’ve gotta be amazed by these boots!

So the city boy and the country girl are in the dust and wind of a Rodeo and anything can happen.

I better get back to them because my editor is expecting to read this story on August 31st.
