Wisconsin Weddings!

21 years ago today, we flew out of Australia with our 8 month old baby and landed in Wisconsin, where EVERYTHING was different. We had the best few years there and loved every minute. I’ve set four wedding themed books there including Picture Perfect Wedding set on a dairy farm in the dairy state 🙂 If you haven’t read Rita award-winning Boomerang Bride or the Wedding Fever series, read all about them at finoalowe.com and grab a copy today where all eBooks are sold. Happy Anniversary to us!

And the Book is Done!

IMG_0575Family life got in the way numerous times while I was writing Truly, Madly Montana, book 2 of my Medicine River series so when Boy Wonder got on the plane to France at the start of October, I went into increasing hibernation so I could meet my October 30th.  This means I go no where and do not much else than write seven days a week.  I don’t think it’s healthy but it does keep my brain totally in the story!  I needed that after being pulled out of the book so often in the previous months.

I also pulled back on social media because I needed all the time I could get and given the constant noise out there in SM land, I doubt anyone noticed I was virtually AWOL, but I noticed something. I was a calmer without the constant bombardment of information. With the rise in screen use, decrease in exercise and the rise in teen/YA depression, I can’t help but think there are connections. I am not sure our brains/bodies have evolved enough to deal with it all.  Thoughts?

Aussie Readers, Picture Perfect Wedding, my husband’s favorite book of mine (!) and book 2 of my Wedding Fever trilogy  is on shelf in print at Big W, Kmart and Target. Of course, it’s always available as an eBook and all the sale links are HERE.  With a 4.2 star rating at Goodreads, this book is well loved and comes with a cast of cute dogs, big, brown-eyed cows, cheery sunflowers and a very sexy farmer and the secondary hero is a firefighter. What more can you ask for 😉

I’ve seen the cover photo for Truly, Madly Montana and it’s just goregous and I can’t wait to show it to you. I’ve had a wonderful time creating the small town of Bear Paw for this book and for Montana Actually.

Montana Actually is up for pre-order now (print and eBook) so if you’re a fan of small town, contemporary romance,  you might want to check this out. Sexy doctors and hunky cowboys are just two reasons to pick it up. Read an excerpt here. It releases January 6th and you can order it from The Book Depository,  Amazon, Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Google Play. Amazon and Google Play have it on sale at the moment for almost 50% off.

Now I’m off to play tennis, do a massive spring clean of the house, buy summer sandals, plant some annuals in the garden and get some balance back in my life. I’m not very good at balance….how do you do it?

October News! Books and Stuff….

IMG_20141001_183349 October and the garden has exploded into life with the bulbs giving us much needed color 🙂

Life is a little chaotic here at the minute as I juggle trying to write Truly, Madly Montana, book two in my Medicine River series and help my youngest son leave for France. He is very fortunate to be able to spend ten weeks at highschool doing Year 10/10th grade in Aix en Provence. This time last year, I was in the south of France cycling along the Canal du Midi, drinking rich and creamy chaud chocolate and eating my body weight in the most amazing food. Are my husband and I jealous of Boy Wonder getting three months over there? You bet!IMG_0044

Our Camping Vacation/Holiday

I’ve been off the air-ways on vacation/holidays in a tent. Cue a heatwave!

Yes, folks, we had four days of temperatures over 43C/108F (!!) and I was under canvas. Fortunately,  we were by the sea so although it was stifling hot, most days we could catch a breeze or just sit in the ocean.

Now, the Southern Ocean is a freezing place and most summers,I am in a full length wetsuit just to survive ten minutes in the water. This year, the water was like a bath! I didn’t get the wetsuit out of the bag.  On the hot days, not even the sea could summon up any energy and it was flat-as…no surf for us 😦

The rest of the time was pleasant weather. We cycled, we read, we canoed, we ate, we sailed, we slept, we played board games and ‘bare foot bowls’ (too much fun) and the boys’ friends visited.IMG_1066

In the middle of all that, my latest book, Runaway Groom launched so there was a mad dash to the library to do some promo!

I got home to a new contract for two medical romances so they will appear in 2015 and 2016. Meanwhile, remember that Runaway Groom is now on sale where all e

So that’s what I’ve been up to! What board games do you play on holidays/vacation?

Release Day for Runaway Groom!

RunawayGroom Today is release day for Runaway Groom, book 3 in my Wedding Fever trilogy! Cue the sound of champagne corks popping and fireworks exploding 😉

It’s also my 24th novel and it’s just as exciting as my first or perhaps even more so because now I have dear readers who know me and write me asking when the next book is coming out 🙂

I was thrilled to get an email from a reader with an advanced copy who said, “Dear Fiona, You are not helping my insomnia!”

She read Runaway Groom in one sitting 🙂

Just in case you don’t know what Runaway Groom is about, it features an Aussie guy on the run, a lawyer hiding out and a heap of well meaning people in Whitetail. It’s a stand-alone book BUT if you’ve read Saved By the Bride and Picture Perfect Wedding, you get to revisit with old friends too.

I have a Pinterest board so you can peek in and see the log cabin Amy and Ben are forced to stay in 😉

This is what the blurb says…..

Runaway Groom; Book three of Wedding Fever

Amy Sagar’s life is in ruins. Fired from her fast-track job and dumped by her double-crossing boyfriend, she retreats to Whitetail, Wisconsin, to lick her wounds and regroup. Meeting an impossible, sexy Australian isn’t part of her strategy for getting back on track.

Ben Armytage is running away. After being left at the altar and publicly humiliated, he’s taking his vintage motorcycle on an extended road trip from Argentina to Alaska. Having his journey interrupted by a breakdown and sharing a house with a curvy, redheaded lawyer in a town obsessed with weddings was never on his itinerary.

Though being stuck in a luxury log cabin isn’t really a hardship, living together with their broken hearts isn’t easy. When the attraction between Amy and Ben proves unstoppable, they’ll both begin rethinking their plans…

For more weddings in Whitetail, check outSaved by the Bride andPicture Perfect Wedding, available now!

Early reviews have been very positive with readers giving Runaway Groom 4 and 5 stars!

Fiona Lowe always has a way of mixing comedy with a sweet, hot, romance, Runaway Groom was no exception.

“I absolutely loved Runaway Groom. Fiona writes a wonderful romance.”

It’s a big book of 99,000 words and you can grab it from every eBook store for around $3-$4. Here are some helpful links!

Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook

I hope you enjoy the Wedding Fever trilogy!
